A Life-Changing Meeting with Dr. Tom

Our school is blessed to have Dr. TOM Dzwonczyk, MD, USA, as medical consultant for our trade school. Since 2008, Dr. Tom has been a pillar of support for the growth of the Moringa School of Trades.

I first met him during a trip to Pennsylvania, USA, while speaking at one of Mr. Jeffry’s fundraising events. In that very first conversation, Dr. Tom recognized the urgent need for M.C.S.O.T. to have not only a medical team but also licensed nurses to manage our round-the-clock health program.

With vision and generosity, Dr. Tom purchased beds and equipment, and funded scholarships for five students to attend nursing school at Central College of Science and Technology in Agona Swedru. His dream was clear: these students would return to serve the Moringa Community School of Trade and the surrounding villages with their skills.

Dr. Tom’s Lasting Impact

Dr. Tom embraced this vision wholeheartedly. He fully sponsored five students to pursue healthcare training. Some advanced from general nursing to midwifery, while others continued into specialized medical studies. Recently, our very first scholarship recipient completed his nursing training and has now joined Jeff-Tech Breman Baako to serve both the school and the wider community.

His generosity has gone far beyond scholarships. Dr. Tom has sponsored essential medical equipment and is committed to building a healthcare center in the future. Today, Jeff-Tech has five trained healthcare workers serving the school and nearby villages, providing proper and much-needed healthcare.

We owe deep gratitude to Dr. Tom and his family — not only for empowering students through education but also for establishing the Moringa Clinic, which now serves as a vital lifeline for the school and its neighbors. His vision and kindness are creating lasting change, ensuring that Jeff-Tech and its surrounding communities have access to quality healthcare for years to come.

Dr. Tom’s generosity continues to transform lives. Through his support, Jeff-Tech Breman Baako now stands as a beacon of hope, with healthcare workers serving the community and plans for a future clinic underway.

Together with Madam Linda and Abu, Dr. Tom’s vision for the Moringa Clinic is taking shape — a project that will strengthen healthcare access and bring lasting benefits to the community.
